I couldn’t resist the DP Challenge this time! http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2014/03/03/writing-challenge-threes/
The official name of this carved limestone sculpture is Mermaid (la Sirena), created by sculptors Jose Moreno, Roman Villarreal, Ed Fu, and Fred Arroyo. As with many of my images, it is located along Chicago’s south side lakefront, near E. 41st Street and Lake Michigan. This wonderful sculpture was once a part of the shoreline protection, but has since been given a place of honor on the lawn of Burnham Park, near the beach house.
Enjoy my 3 image story of the Lady By the Lake!
